I wanted to share with members my recent email to the HOA, as well as their response. I am also interested in learning more about the breakdowns of the HOA/CDD fees.. I do beleive this HOA, which is being run by Lennar, is not following their own rules and are guilty of lying. My email is Joanne704@gmail.com
Hello Carol,
I have a few questions for the HOA:
1) While the HOA is busy handing out violations to single family homes over here in Hawks Point West, for not having their lawns mowed to the HOA's satisfaction, how is it then that the residents over in my area (villas/town homes) are not able to issue violations against the HOA for not maintaining their lawns? The lawns here have not been mowed in quite a while and it looks awful, not to mention all the dead grass!!!!. There should not be any excuses for this landscaping company to keep our lawns properly maintained even in the rain. If the residents in the single family's are expected to keep their lawns mowed in the rain, the SAME should apply to us. WE are all paying fees here.
2) I understand that violations are being handed out to people parked on the street for short periods of time. I thought that the bylaws indicated that violations would only occur if cars were parked overnight. I would like clarification on this. I'm concerned if I were to have company over for a visit. I only have a one car garage and the extra lots are always full. I don't want my company to get a violation! That would be embarrassing don't you think?
3) As you suggested, I took photo's of all of my ground solar lights ( used up all my printer ink) and sent them in to the HOA since they sent me a violation letter. I have heard nothing since. Any idea what this means?
4) I am having some issues with the front gate. It works off and on and I have to try multiple times to get it to open. My key device is not that old. Is there a new gate problem that you are aware of?
Thank you and I'm looking forward to your response.

Joanne,
As you know the rain has really hampered the mowing situation. They are a day behind and will mow either today or tomorrow. We have had major irrigation issues and are working to find a permanent solution. A new pump needs to be installed and then we can proceed on replacing some of the dead sod. We cannot do it all at once as this will be very expensive. The sod that was replaced by your building will be replaced as this was under warranty.
As far as the parking on the street no solution has been agreed upon. If we get a complaint about a vehicle blocking someone's access, we will act on it.
I will follow up on the solar lights. This is the ARB committee.
The front gate is having issues, we believe due to all the rain. The gate company will be out today or tomorrow.
I understand your frustration but know that you are not being ignored.
